This week, the UALR Bowen School of Law welcomed 200 graduates of Arkansas law schools into the world of depositions and courtrooms when they sat for the bar exam July 28-30.
About 100 of those students were graduates of the Bowen School. The school, however, provided lunch and breakfast – along with a place to unwind from the pressure – for all the students taking the test.
“Many of us know how stressful taking the bar exam can be,” said Assistant Dean for Student Affairs Valerie D. Nation. “So we make it an annual tradition to provide support for not only our graduates but all prospective attorneys in the state. The event works to strengthen relationships throughout the legal community because we have alumni, professors, and staff members there to offer advice and positive reinforcement for all those sitting for the bar.”
The test-takers will find out the results of their exams in September.
