Bowen School Scores on AB's '40 Under 40' List


Five UALR Bowen School of Law graduates were named to "Arkansas Business'" 2009 "40 Under 40" list.

James Thomas Ferstl, Jordan Johnson, Melissa Moody, Brandon Robinson, and Rhonda Wood were among Arkansas’ young leaders named to the prestigious listing, which focuses on "intriguing business and political leaders under 40 years old who bear watching." Each of the honorees have used the Bowen degree in a unique way.

Ferstl is executive vice president with Affiliated Real Estate Appraisers after first working in property management and field appraisal and as a real estate and legal consultant.

Johnson is vice president of public policy for Cranford Johnson Robinson Woods. He joined the communication firm eight years ago.

Now chief of staff with the Arkansas Attorney General’s office, Moody has worked on four major statewide political campaigns and served in the administrations of three U.S. senators and two attorneys general.

Robinson is an attorney with Bridges Young Matthews & Drake PLC, specializing in health care clients like Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He also serves as city attorney of Redfield and deputy city attorney of Pine Bluff.

Wood is a circuit judge with the 20th Judicial District in Conway. As judge, Wood started the Faulkner County Teen Court, where 50 seniors recommended by their high schools hear real juvenile delinquency cases.
