David Hyman, one of the country's top health law scholars, delivered a lecture in October at the UALR Bowen School of Law. His presentation, “Health Care Quality: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly,” was sponsored by the Arkansas Bar Association Health Law Section and attended by faculty, students, and attorneys.
Dr. Hyman, who is a physician and professor of law and medicine at the University of Illinois, spoke about quality of health care--a timely issue of special interest to those in the health care and health law-related professions, particularly in light of recent measures by CMS and private insurers aimed at improving quality of care.
Dr. Hyman holds a B.A., J.D., and M.D. from the University of Chicago. He has written extensively on a broad range of topics related to health care, from tort reform to result-based compensation. For more information about Dr. Hyman, visit http://www.law.illinois.edu/faculty/directory/DavidHyman.
