
Wanda G. Hoover of Little Rock has joined the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law as Director of Development. She brings to the position management experience of more than 17 years in the non-profit sector and 14 years in the financial services industry.
For the past two years, she has served as Director of Development and Marketing of the William J. Clinton Foundation, where she has been responsible for programs and projects that support the Foundation’s global efforts. She also has worked directly with the National Archives to develop world-class temporary exhibits at the Clinton Center, serving as the overseeing senior manager of programming, exhibits, outreach, advertising and fundraising.
“The Bowen School of Law will benefit from Wanda Hoover’s extensive experience and broad abilities as we work to stay in closer contact with our graduates, whose successes continue to enrich our history as well as our future,” said Interim Dean John M. DiPippa.
For seven years prior to joining the Foundation, Ms. Hoover was Director of Development and Volunteer Services at the Arkansas Repertory Theatre. At the Rep, she developed an inclusive fund-raising plan, managed large fundraising events, and worked in planned giving and strategic planning. She also managed relations with the Board of Directors and other volunteer groups, and managed solicitation campaigns, development priorities, and relationships with donors and prospects. Her 14-year finance career included time as a Vice President of Dominion Bank of Middle Tennessee in Nashville, as well as positions at InterFirst Bank in Dallas and American Bank in Corpus Christi.
Hoover holds a degree in business management from Volunteer State College at Gallatin, Tennessee, and attended the Louisiana State University Graduate School of Banking. She is active in community and charitable organizations in Arkansas, with memberships in the Downtown Partnership Board, the Rotary Club of Little Rock, the Executive Committee of the Women’s Foundation of Arkansas, and the Junior League of Little Rock.
