UALR William H. Bowen School of Law
Employer Services

The Career Services Office provides several services to help employers find qualified law clerks, attorneys, or other professionals.  Whether your need is for an entry-level attorney, a researcher or writer for a short-term project, a part-time law clerk for the semester, a summer associate, or a nonlegal professional position that values the law degree, we invite you to register today at Symplicity.  Complete the employer information including your website.  Note: Career Services must approve all registration requests.  Only licensed attorneys may employ law students to work in legal capacities.

When participating in job postings, on campus interviewing or listing short-term research projects, employers must provide the Career Services staff with a signed copy of the Statement of Nondiscrimination (pdf).

On Campus Interviewing

Career Services hosts on-site employer interviews with students.  On campus interviews provide employers an efficient and cost-effective way to interview many qualified students in a relatively short period of time.  Generally, fall recruiting begins in mid-September; spring recruiting begins in mid-February.  Register for either or both sessions at Symplicity.  There, you will be able to reserve an interview date and establish your criteria for students to interview.  The Career Services staff must approve your request to interview on campus.  Interested registered students who satisfy your criteria must request an interview and will be allowed to sign up as long as interviewing slots are available.   Resumes and other documents requested by you will be available to you online for downloading from your office.

Please register a minimum of three weeks before the date you want to conduct interviews.

Resume Collection Service

Larger national and regional firms are encouraged to consider the excellent talent Bowen students and alumni offer.  Career Services will gladly work to host your campus visit or conduct resume collections, referring qualified candidates to you.  Just register on Symplicity to collect resumes from interested Bowen students and alumni.  Employers are asked to provide a website or an organization/firm resume.

Post a Job Announcement

Career Services offers free, year-round job posting service for part- and full-time, temporary, and permanent positions.  Professional positions which value the JD are welcomed.  Employers may request "blind" job postings in which your identity is not initially revealed, or "open" job postings where you are identified and applicants are able to make a more informed decision before applying. To post job openings, log on to Symplicity and register.
